The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Qualifying Examination.
Candidates who have passed Section A and Section B examination conducted by
Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers & Institution of
Engineers qualified at the GATE examination will be deemed eligible for
admission to Master of Engineering course in the specified branch in which they
have passed.
M.E. (Production Engineering specialized
in Manufacturing Engineering) (Part Time)
The candidate should have passed B.E. or equivalent degree in the branch of
The candidates must have a minimum of two years full-time work experience in a Registered Firm / Company / Industry / Educational and/or Research Institutions and Government Departments or Government Autonomous Organisations in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
ADMISSION PROCESS:
All admissions will be made on the basis of inter-se merit of candidates who have applied for admission for the respective academic year in this Institute based on
(a) Marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination
(b) Valid GATE score / Entrance test marks
(c) Interview
(d) Experience (in case of Part time course)
Candidates securing less than 40 marks out of 100 in the Entrance Test indicated above shall not be eligible for admission.
DURATION OF THE COURSE
The M.E. (Full time) Programme is of
two years duration (4 semesters)
The M.E. (Part time) Programme is of 3½ years duration.
Medium of Instruction is English.

REFUND OF FEES
If admission is cancelled before the commencement of the term, fees will be refunded after deducting Cancellation Charges. No fees will be refunded after commencement of the course.
Admission granted to students shall be provisional and will be subject to the
approval of the University of Mumbai.
